Apple is ditching their 15-year old relationship with Intel and the launch of a new 13-inch, 16-inch MacBook Pros and a new 13-inch MacBook Air with their own processors will be the beginning of the end.

The American-based technology giant said on Monday that it will hold an online event dubbed “One more thing” on November 10th.

Starting with these new Macs, Apple is set to move away from Intel and use processors built by Apple using the same ARM architecture it uses on phones and tablets.

Beyond the move from Intel to Apple CPUs, the new laptops won’t have significant design changes.

To attract more people to their ecosystem, Apple is trying to make the ARM-based 13-inch MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro cheaper than their counterparts. According to sources, the new ARM-based MacBook starts at $799.
